Our 'Victoria' film location Tour takes you on a Royal journey through the beautiful Yorkshire countryside and stately homes used by ITV/PBS/Mammoth in their brilliant dramatisation following the life of Queen Victoria. From her relationship with Lord M, to her accession to the throne aged just 18, through the romance and subsequent marriage to Prince Albert, and there the story begins…
The stately homes of Harewood House and Castle Howard in Yorkshire played significant roles as location doubles in the filming of the first two series. They are displaying many of the wonderful costumes and rooms used in this lavish Victorian drama. Carlton Towers poses as Windsor Castle and Bramham Park doubles as Buckingham Palace and Kensington Palace. The Gothic masterpiece Beverley Minster features as Westminster Abbey for the coronation of Queen Victoria and they are all set in some of the most breathtaking scenery in England. Yorkshire is blessed with so many wonderful restaurants, inns and hotels we are happy to guide you through all the options. Our ‘Victoria’ tour can easily be combined with our dramatic Lake District Tour and unique Rutland Tour to make the perfect English experience.
